We had the first meeting of the secret programming team last night in Olin. Can't tell you about the project because it's secret (I even hide the information from myself). However, you can check it out on GoogleCode (http://code.google.com/p/universal-code-generator/).

We had group meeting last night. While this isn't exciting for normal groups, we have an army undergraduate researchers working on four different projects. What a good looking bunch!

Holly Jensen (right) has successfully transitioned from normal life to life in the Varnerlab. Congratulations Holly! She is working on understanding the differentiation behavior of RA resistant HL-60 cell-lines. These lines were isolated by B-rad Gates and show some really interesting properties. Even more interesting is that Holly is the first student to be totally experimental (no modeling) in our lab. A new direction for us. Joe on the other hand (left) is only modeling! Joe, an Applied Physics student, passed his physics Q-exam this week. Congratulations Joe! Joe is also working on HL-60, he is the lead developer on v2.0 of the differentiation model. 

Warm sunny weather for our return to the ITH'izzle (a shout out to the last decade). Party time is over. Back to work. Hope everyone has a great 2010!
